Looking Back - "As a long-time Eagles fan (I saw my first Eagles game in 1947) I greatly appreciate the 75th anniversary history "Looking Back" by Eli Kowalski. For "stat buffs" like myself, the book has the complete statistical history of the team from its first season (1933) through the first two weeks of the 2007 season. Not only scores of every game but, individual statistics along with a reproduction of a page from the sports section of the Inquirer or Daily News from that particular season. Of all the features the book has to offer, my favorite is the "review" of each decade which includes such information as the head coaches, All-Pro selections, award winners, Hall-of-Fame inductees and Eagle firsts of the decade. There is also a written summary of the decade. Another favorite of mine is the "Fondest Eagles Memories" section in which former and current players reflect on their time wearing Eagles green. The book includes the all-time Eagles roster, all-time records, and even a chapter on the different uniforms the Eagles have worn. In all honesty, I can't think of a thing that Eli Kowalski omitted in compiling this history."
